I downloaded the iPad version of BibleReader yesterday afternoon, as well as two extra translations and some commentaries. I have fancier Bible software on my laptop, but it's complex to use and I don't always have the laptop with me. I've been using BibleReader for years, first on a Palm, and then on the iPod Touch. Great program on those devices, but the small screen size makes reading hard. The iPad version is JUST RIGHT.

So late last night I had the NETS Septuagint running in parallel with the NRSV, and started with the Song of Songs, looking for points at which the versions vary. The first variation I found was in 1:2b.

I am very happy with this version. I guess I would be happier if I had a tagged English version of the Septuagint, but there is a website where one can download PDF files of an interlinear Septuagint.
