BibleReader on iPad Sneak Peek
Unfortunatly, BibleReader for iPad was not available for the launch of the iPad. While we wait for it to become available, here are some screenshots to give you an idea of what is coming.
Here is a video showing BibleReader on iPad (Sorry for the bad audio).

The product looks fantastic. I have the Logos Scholars Library and iPhone/iPad applications. Not happy with the GNT, BHS, LXX apps on portable devices. Poor integration, limited controls.
Your app blows the doors off of anything else for easy language reading. I bought the iPad Saturday, due to your app. I can hardly wait to get the iPad version for all of the reasons you know.
You might want to package an iPad with nice leather cover and your apps as a package!
I am checking the your website and iTunes several times daily to see if the app is released. I think Apple’s delay here is probably halting hundreds if not thousands of purchases of iPad. I am sure it is not intentional.
Thanks for all of the hard work your team has put in to make a truly comprehensive electronic Bible product!

I’m in the same boat as Bryan. I keep checking multiple times daily for the iPad version. I also have Logos on my Mac / iPhone / iPad, (as well as many other Bible apps) but there is nothing that compares to the ease of use and function of BibleReader and the library you have. Thanks for a great job and we’ll keep checking so we can use this on the iPad too!

Been using OTBR since my Palm m505 days in May of 2001, then iPaqs, then Windows Mobile, then iPhone and now waiting… waiting… waiting… to use on iPad. The iPhone app on iPad is (ugly) not pretty. Really looking forward to the apps release. Been checking several times a day in iTunes for it. Keep up the great work. There aren’t many developers that can continue to make great applications on so many different platforms for a decade let alone keep my attention and on every device no less. THANK YOU!

This is getting a little ridiculous. Apple has had plenty of time to approve this app. Who ever is in charge of this project should call apple again if it is not out by Monday. I have seen several other apps that are new come out and I know you sent this in very early. There is no reason why apple should take this long. People are bing forced to purchase subpar Bible applications while we wait for the best to come out and that will cut into your bottom line. I too purchased the iPad almost solely for this app and Apple needs to understand that many other people purchased and iPad for this app. I know many Christians think they should be very polite, but there are times where you have to put your foot down when things are not right.

This looks great, but there are a couple of things I was hoping would show up in the iPad version that I hope you’ll take into consideration for future versions.
1. I’ve never been completely pleased with the style of the pop-overs for cross references. I was hoping that with the standardized iPad methods for things like this, you would put them to use in this way. This isn’t a biggie, though.
2. I was hoping that, due to the increased screen real estate, navigating to books of the bible could be done in a way that incorporates the entire name of the book. I find myself taking to long to translate the abbreviated versions into what I’m looking for. I do appreciate it being in one screen instead of a scrolling list like most apps give, but I think that using the whole name of the book and maybe separating sections a bit would make it quicker to use now that you have the room. -

This is getting odd. Logos just got their second update to their universal app released since iPad launched. Why aren’t they getting Olive Tree’s out.
Apple fell asleep. Wake up apple.
Ok I feel better now.
You may now return to your waiting…and waiting… And more waiting. And using the iPhone app. And waiting.
Ok I’m done now for real.
Night all. Maybe we’ll wake up to an app update…. Hehehehe

Looking at the number of comments in this post I think we should start some sort of a fundraiser pool for a charity (maybe Compassion International?) so that the person guessing the correct comment number we will be on when It finally releases can win some money for a charity organization. What do you say… 5 bucks a pop? I am guessing we will be on comment 132 when they submit the app.

The new Bible Reader IPad App 4.12 really takes advantage of the IPad interface. I think that Apple’s challenge is to thoroughly test the new App for functionality. Also, ensuring that the in App purchasing for iTunes and Olive Tree work correctly.
Apple have done a good job ensuring that the Apps do not interfere with other Apps, not a small task.

When this blog entry was posted three-and-a-half weeks ago, I would never have dreamed that the app would still not be available by the time my iPad arrived. My iPad w/3G just arrived, so now the wait for the app’s approval will be even more frustrating. I know approvals can take awhile… I just never thought that time would be measured in months (which it will soon be)!
