Our big hint is, “Soon.” It will be a free upgrade that will come through the App Store like any other app update. The new features do include cross-platform syncing so whatever device you use, all your annotations will sync to the same account.

you guys are being super quiet on the release time frame….any hints? Also will this be a free or a paid upgrade. I’m also interested to know how this will sync with the desktop app you have coming out?

Good catch! I should not have said “still.” BibleReader 5 will have the increased ability to sync notes, tags, and highlights through Olive Tree’s sync. Currently, you can only sync notes through Evernote and not highlights.

You said ‘still’ – I thought currently you can only sync notes, but not highlights?
I have an Android phone, so I can’t sync anything, but with full sync/backup capability I’d buy an iPad just for BibleReader…

Yes, you still will be able to do that and, in addition (should you choose), you can also sync through your Olive Tree account.

Will BR5 support syncing of highlights and bookmarks (via Evenote)?

Their are many new features coming for BR5. This is a major upgrade part of which is a large interface redesign that we think people will love. The Resource Guide was mentioned and that’s a biggie we also have several other major enhancements to usability and some other features that will have to wait to be revealed at a later date.

Yes, there are several changes for BR 5.0. One big change on the video is the Resource Guide (seen in the video about halfway through). You’ll notice it queries your library for any hits on the text in the main window. It will also pick out names, places, and topics.
