We too adopt the same technique and we love using our time wisely these smart phones certainly live up to their name and allow us to catch up with bible readings on the go, whilst standing in a queue, using public transport, traveling – we love apps etc

I’ve gotten to where I’m expecting to have to wait in line longer than anyone else. Go to the store with me some time. I can almost guarantee that, even if a new cashier says “I’ll help the next person here”, and only one other person is ahead of me in the new line where there was 50 in the other one, and the person ahead of me has one can of soup (or some other equally minute item), I will be in that line longer than the last person in the previous line. I just read the silly tabloids and other goofy magazines they have up there, or figure out what gum brand X is made out of and how much I’d have to eat to replace my dinner that I’m probably missing.

Great article! Olive Tree makes it so we can take the Word anywhere, sure other Bible apps do to, but Olive Tree to me has done such a great job with the interface and availability of resources. Thank you Olive Tree!!

A pastor of mine (who was terribly impatient) once commented that he hated lines… until it was pointed out to him that life was like waiting in line, except that most of us aren’t nearly as anxious to get to the front of the line. Enjoy the time as it passes, don’t wish away your life and all that.

Like you, I often read on my phone while in line.
