Thanks for the info. I plan on keeping my Old iPod until it dies. I would be lost without the Bible Reader. Love the reading plans, notes, and highlighting.

I have a 1st Gen iPad, and have chosen to not upgrade my iOS beyond 4.3.5. It's my choice based on experience with newer versions of iOS on older devices making the device run so slow as to be unusable. As you continue to update BR5 to BR6, BR7 and so on, please don't obsolete the library and sync formats for those of us who cannot upgrade. I would like the ability to buy, download, use, and update Bible versions and books, and I really need the ability to back up and sync my notes and highlights so I don't lose all of the hard work placed into personalizing my Bibles. Thanks for making BR5 such a great software package.

Yes, if you update the apps and sync your older iPod to iTunes, it will remove the app from your device. Unfortunately, there really is not a way for developers to prevent the app from updating through iTunes. As more and more apps go this route, I would not recommend syncing your older device to iTunes at all.

Great to hear there will be an android update soon. BR5 is the best bible app for android; but it definitely needs some performance tweeks and feature catch ups. I miss bible reading plan integration the most. But overall; LOVE using your products on my Nexus 7 tablet. I find it the perfect form factor for reading.

I understand the need to stop supporting older devices when the state of technology leaves them in the dust. However, it seems there should be a way to prevent iTunes synch to the latest apps from replacing the older apps. I have an older iPod Touch and a new iPad, so iTunes always wants to update to the newest apps. If it updates to the older device, you're telling me that the action will delete my BibleReder app. As more and more apps become involved in this predicament, it becomes difficult to keep up with what app updates can be allowed and which cannot.

Is there not a way for the developers to take care of us users in this situation?
